New Orleans is renowned for a few Creole food staples. We tried as much as possible during our couple days in NOLA!
Taking a bite of everything in the district.
Our massive family decided to escape to the mountains for some well-deserved R&R over the weekend, but failed to decide on which area they were going to. After several hours of deliberation over which place to go to, a little bit of yelling, and lots of sighing in exasperation, I booked some non-refundable rooms and suddenly we were going to Asheville whether we liked it or not.
Fernweh and I are coffee/hot chocolate/chai latte addicts! Just kidding... we have about 2-3 a week but wanted to compile a list of where we've been. We spent a few days in Lisbon not too long ago with our parents, which was their first vacation “alone” in about 15 years. Honestly, I’m not sure hanging out with Food and I is much of a vacation, but we love them dearly and were crazy happy to see them for the second time in the last nine … Continue reading Eating Lisboa
Food and I were too keyed up to be calm when flying to Venice. We had a mere 24 hours before we’d see Fiasco, our younger whirlwind of a sister, and we were also going to be spending the next five days exploring two of our favorite cities, eating a lot of great food, and, … Continue reading Venice, Italy
